Tonight at 6 PM, Lake Nona High water polo face Timber Creek. Boys Lacrosse take on Edgewater at 7:30. Girls varsity softball kick off their season against Winter Park tomorrow night.

Girls lacrosse last night won their season opener at home with a 17 to 1 victory over Dr. Phillips last night.

The Magic beat the Bulls at the United Center last night 100 to 91 coming off a 107 to 103 overtime loss on Sunday to the Heat. Orlando guard Markelle Fultz nearly recorded a triple-double, finishing with 18 points, 10 rebounds, and 9 assists. Banchero recorded 22 points.

In the NHL, Lightning take on the Avalanche tonight at 9 PM.

Lake Nona Lions boys basketball beat Tohopekaliga 44 to 39 in the district tournament. They take on 2nd ranked Harmony at 7 PM tonight for the district semi-finals at Celebration.

Lake Nona’s girls water polo is off to a 7 and 0 start to the season extending a 51-game winning streak over 3 seasons. Last night they beat Seminole 13 to 5 with Emily Scheerer scoring 6 goals. Ana Carrera had 7 steals. Boys water polo lost to Seminole  15 to 13.

Magic beat the Nuggets 115 to 104 with Wendell Carter Jr. scoring 19 points. Magic traded Mo Bamba to the Lakers just before the trade deadline. The Magic picked up a 2024 second-round pick via the Nuggets as part of a four-team trade. Heat host the Rockets tonight.

Lightning blanked the Avalanche 5 to 0 with Brandon Hagel scoring 2 goals.

Canadians Nick Taylor and Adam Hadwin lead the PGA Phoenix Open after day one.

7th ranked Lake Nona High boys varsity soccer lost to H B Plant in the region quarterfinals. Plant won in penalty kicks at 4 to 2. Lions boys basketball over Tohopekaliga 44 to 39 in the district tournament. They take on 2nd ranked Harmony at 6 PM Friday for the Championship.

Boys and girls varsity water polo face Seminole High today.

UCF mens basketball beat Wichita State 72 to 67. Taylor Hendricks led with 23 points and 5 rebounds. Lady Knights topped Cincinnati 60 to 57. Florida men’s basketball lost to Alabama 97 to 69.

Heat over the Pacers 116 to 111. Magic take on the Nuggets tonight at 7 PM.

Lightning are back on the ice against the Avalanche tonight at 7.

The PGA, Phoenix Open gets underway this morning in Scottsdale.

Lake Nona High girls soccer lost in the Class 7A State Championship Tournament 7  to 0 against Palm Harbor University. Boys varsity basketball play the yet determined opponent in the district tournament at Celebration at 7 PM. Boys water polo lost to lake Brantley 12 to 7. Girls water polo had a 14 to 5 victory over Lake Brantley.

Boys varsity Lacrosse host Trinity Prep at 6 tonight. Boys soccer travel to H B Plant High. Boys and girls varsity water polo face Seminole High tomorrow.

UCF mens basketball face Wichita State on the road at 7 PM. Gators take on 3rd ranked Alabama at 9 PM.

Struggling with outside shooting, the Magic fell to the Knicks last night 102 to 98. Heat take on the Pacers at 7:30.

In overtime, the San Jose Sharks beat the Lightning 4 to 3.

The PGA, Phoenix Open gets underway tomorrow morning in Scottsdale.

In Lake Nona High athletics, boys water polo lost to Boca Raton on Saturday 17 to 4. Girls beat Boca Raton 12 to 3 and defeated Ransom Everglades 11 to 1. In boys wrestling the Lions placed 7th at the Metro Conference Championship Meet at Winter Park. Freshman Clark Zerba pinned Nazzio Huyler for a 3rd place finish. Christian Reinhardt placed 2nd.

Saturday, UCF mens football fell to Cincinnati 73 to 64. Gators lost to Kentucky 72 to 67.

Martin Truex Jr. is the winner of the NASCAR preseason Busch Light Clash at the Coliseum.

Magic wrap up a road trip with a 119 to 113 win over the Hornets. Bachero had 22 points and 10 rebounds.

After the NHL all-star break, the Lightning are back on the ice against the Panthers tonight at 7 PM.

Justin Rose won the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-AM with 15 strokes under par.

Last night, Lake Nona High girls varsity soccer won the Class 7A District 5 championship with a 3 to 2 win over Dr. Phillips. They are advancing to the State Championship Regional Playoffs.

Boys varsity basketball beat East River 60 to 50.

This Sunday evening NASCAR kicks off their season with the Busch Light Clash at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.

Knicks beat the Heat 106 to 104. Tonight the Magic take on the Timberwolves. Paolo Banchero has been named the NBA rookie of the month for a second straight month.

NHL All-Star break is tomorrow with matchups on ABC.

Hank Lebioda leads the AT&T Peblle Beach Pro-Am with 8 strokes under par after day one.

UCF mens basketball travels to Cincinnati for division action at 12 Noon on ESPNU. Gators mens basketball is at Kentucky tomorrow evening.

Tuesday night, Lake Nona High girls varsity soccer shut out Freedom 4 to 0 to advance to the finals today. They will face Dr. Phillips at 7 PM at Windermere High.

Last night, girls water polo beat Lake Howell 19 to 3. Emily Scheerer scored 4 goals and LizAngel Hernandez had 3. Boys water polo also won with Hans Steinhauer leading with 5 goal and 5 steals in the 19 to 7 win over Lake Howell. Clayton Nichols contributed 4 goals.

Tonight boys varsity basketball are on the road to East River High at 7:30.

The Magic fell to the 76ers 105 to 94. Franz Wagner and Banchero each had 13 points. Markelle Fultz led with 18. Heat face the Knicks tonight.

Gators men’s basketball beat 2nd ranked Tennessee last night 67 to 54 with a late upset.

NHL All-Star break is this Saturday with matchups on ABC.

The AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am tee’s off this morning.

Boys water polo beat Colonial 20 to 3. Girls water polo also won over Colonial 20 to 2. Natalie Cook led the Lady Lions with 3 goals and Liliana Torres added 2. Girls varsity basketball lost to Osceola 58 to 38.

Water Polo teams travel to Lake Howell tonight starting at 7 PM. Tomorrow night boys varsity basketball are on the road to East River High.

In the NBA, Heat over the Cavaliers 100 to 97. Magic take on the 76ers at 7 PM. Magic rookie forward Paolo Banchero and second-year forward Franz Wagner have been selected to the player pool for the 2023 Rising Stars Game.

Gator mens basketball take on Tennessee tonight at 7.

The AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am tee’s off tomorrow morning.
