Kennedy McQuillan went 3-for-3 with a home run, 2 runs scored, and 4 RBIs for the Lions. Vianni Rodriguez was 3-for-4 with a double. Boy’s lacrosse fell 8 to 4 against Timber Creek. Boys volleyball blanked St. Cloud 3 to 0.

Both girls and boys water polo teams captured district titles. Boys beat Venice 10 to 9. Girls over Windermere 18 to 1.

Rays won there MLB season opener over the Tigers 4 to 0. Pitcher Shane McClanahan yielded 4 hits in 6 shutout innings. Marlins fell to the Mets 5 to 3.

Tomorrow Miami meets Connecticut in the mens basketball Final Four on CBS at 9 PM. Florida Atlantic takes on San Diego State at 6 PM. Florida is only the 3rd state in 30 years to send two programs to the semifinals.

NASCAR is on the short track at Richmond on Sunday for the Toyota Owners 400.
